Refund Policy

The Deadline Department - Refund Policy

Effective Date:  01/24/2026

The Deadline Department provides professional services delivered remotely, including IRS notice response support, audit assistance, and Notice Triage Services.  Because our services involve time, review, and administrative work, refunds are limited as described below. 

Refund Time Limit (All Services)

  • All refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase.

  • After 24 hours, all services are non-refundable, regardless of whether work has started.

1) Notice Triage - $149 (Includes Call + Appointment)

Notice Triage includes a scheduled appointment/call and review of the documents you upload. 

Rescheduling Policy (Notice Triage)

  • Notice Triage includes one (1) reschedule if requested at least 24 hours before your scheduled call.

  • Additional reschedule requests are not allowed and may require purchasing a new Notice Triage service. 

When Work Begins

Work begins once your documents have been reviewed, even if the appointment/call has not happened yet. 

Once work begins, the service is considered in progress and cannot be refunded.

Refund Policy

Notice Triage is eligible for a refund only if ALL of the following are true:

  • The refund request is made within 24 hours of purchase, and

  • Document review has NOT started, and

  • The scheduled call has NOT been completed. 

If your documents have been reviewed, NO REFUNDS will be issued.

2) Fixed-Fee Services (IRS Notices, CP2000, Audits, Payment Plans

Fixed-fee services include preparation, research, analysis, document review, and client communication. 

Refund Policy (Fixed-Fee Services)

Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase and before work begins. 

Once work begins (including research, analysis, document review, preparation, or client communication), all fixed-fee services are NON-REFUNDABLE.

3) Missed Appointments / No-Shows

If you scheduled a call or appointment and do not attend, arrive significantly late, or fail to provide required documents in time, your service may be delayed.  Refunds are not guaranteed for missed appointments. 

Notice Triage includes one (1) reschedule if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.

4) Chargebacks

We encourage clients to contact us directly first so we can help resolve any issues.  Filing a chargeback for services already performed may result in account restriction and may require additional documentation to support the work completed.

5) Results Disclaimer

The Deadline Department cannot guarantee outcomes with the IRS, including penalties removed, balances reduced, audits closed, or refunds issued.  Refunds are not provided based on case outcomes. 

6) How to Request a Refund

Approved refunds (if eligible) are issued to the original payment method and may be reduced by any non-refundable processing fees charged by third-party payment providers.
